※ 강연은 모두 영어로 진행되며, 각 강연당 70분간의 발표와 40분간의 토론이 이루어질 예정입니다.
Both lectures will be given in English. Each lecture will consist of a 70 minute presentation by Professor Kim and a 40 minute discussion.
· 강연자 약력(Lecturer Profile)
김재권 교수는 미국 프린스턴 대학 철학과에서 박사학위를 받았고 미국 스와츠모어대, 미시간대, 코넬대, 존스홉킨스대에서 가르쳤으며 현재는 브라운 대학 철학과에서 윌리엄 페리 석좌 교수로 재직하고 있습니다. 그는 미국철학회 중부 지역 회장을 역임한 바 있고 미국 학술원 회원이기도 합니다. 김재권 교수의 연구는 형이상학, 심리철학, 행위이론, 인식론, 과학철학 분야를 아우르고 있으며, 커다란 영향력을 끼친 다수의 논문을 발표하였고 또한 다음의 저서들을 출간하였습니다.

Professor Jaegwon Kim received his Ph.D from Princeton in 1962 and has taught at Swarthmore College, the University of Michigan, Cornell University, and Johns Hopkins, as well as at Brown, both from 1963–67 and since 1987. He is presently William Herbert Perry Faunce Professor of Philosophy. Professor Kim is past President of the Central Division of the American Philosophical Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His research spans the philosophy of mind, metaphysics, action theory, epistemology, and philosophy of science. He is author of many widely cited articles and of the following books:
